As some of you may or may not know, there is a huge fan community who has remade several of Sierra's older AGI/SCI games (the most famous, of course, being ADGInteractive). I recently downloaded Infamous Adventures' Space Quest II remake, and I was very impressed!

My question is, if you could see any Sierra game remade (i.e. updated with VGA style graphics similar to those found in AGS), which Sierra game would you choose and why?

For me, the number 1 choice would be the Colonel's Bequest! I would love to see a VGA interface, maybe using the questioning sequences that are used in the Gabriel Knight or Ben Jordan games (so that you don't have to type everything about everybody). I think it would be fun to improve on the original storyline, adding a bit more of depth to the characters, and making it a little more logical to advance the plot (so you don't spend the first 5 times running around the mansion thinking "What in the world is going on with this game?"

There are several other Sierra games that I think could use a nice update, but that would be my first choice. What do you guys think?

Talk to you later!

I would like to see a remake of Codename: Iceman. The best part of it would be fixing that gambling section. The fact that it's absoultely necessary to win and it won't let you restore to previous times during the game you have no choice but to not lose for an incredibly long sequence. How realistic is that? Expecting people to get through that kind of thing WITHOUT having to restore to a previous save file? Do they not know that it's called "gambling" because there's no such thing as a sure thing? It would also work to their benefit to make it to where you don't have the option to skip nearly half the game's plot and still win if you know what needs to be done to finish the game.

I honestly would love to see the Manhunter games remade, they are already great games using the AGI engine, but I think it would be incredible to see them upgraded to VGA and with a new interface.

The music is already hauntingly good in it's primitive PC speaker form, it would be amazing to hear it upgraded. (Hey it worked for the Leisure Suit Larry theme)

The main upgrade would in my mind be the maze system, especially the lava pocket maze in the second game. The controls are rather awkward in the original game and sometimes you need pixel perfect precision to get past some spots.

I'm with Josh on The Colonel's Bequest. *drools*

Second would be King's Quest 4. Can you imagine walking around Genesta's beautiful island or in the castle, or how creepy some of the nighttime sequences would be?
