So I am at the part where you give the item that the bookworm will take and when the second mouse pops up the game sits in loading.
You know with the crown showing like a sequence is happening but everything does nothing....well the bees still move and what have you but its like the sequence is broken or something, the mouse won't say or do anything to complete the sequence.
Anyone else have this problem and know what to do?

Are you running in XP? Are you using DOSbox?

Its the Kings Quest Collection for XP...so far everything was running smoothly until now. Im trying to get the Dosbox to work however its being uncooperative for some reason.

Well, do try to run it in DOSbox... the official site might have support for your problem. I've only used it once, so I'm not great at troubleshooting.

I have tried DOSBOX I have tried a slowdown program I have tried both together and it still won't continue with the sequence.
The second mouse pops up and just stands there, and I get the busy crown icon for my mouse and can't do anything but quit.

Are you running the latest version of DOSbox? The latest version is 0.65 (you can download it from the link Kat posted above).

Other than that, I would suggest trying Collector's patch:
