NEWS AND UPDATES AS OF 11 APRIL 2003
|

Ali went shopping again and got three books for the bookstore: Caesar II, Homeworld, and Starsiege. There are a ton new King's Quest game curiosities and a Phantasmagoria one, too. After digging through some old files, an image by Akril from the days of the Sierra Nebula message boards (old RWA EZ Boards) popped up. It's now on display at the fan gallery. Oh, the memories! Akril also made a remix of the King's Quest 7 theme song, located on the goodies page. Finally, Sierra Planet now has an chatroom, so go check it out! I have more updates and new sections to add, but I'm too sleepy right now.

NEWS AND UPDATES AS OF 29 MARCH 2003

In the Curiosities section, there is a new King's Quest 2 curiosity and the Mission: Asteroid curiosities page is up. In the Fan Gallery, a King's Quest funny list is in the Stories section, and some artwork that Juliette once made for the infamous Jellybean Survey is up. The survey was based on Animaniacs' mall survey about George Wendt and beans. One of the joke questions on the survey was, "Where exactly are the malls in Daventry?", and hence the pictures. Ali went on a trip to Germany and amassed a few German game books that are now in his bookstore. Finally, Keshet found a teddy bear in King's Quest 7. Also, if you haven't already, please sign the guestbook! There is a link to it at the very bottom of this page.

NEWS AND UPDATES AS OF 16 FEBUARY 2003

I added a Game Similarities section in the Curiosities area, and Mission: Asteroid is finally back up again and expanded. I finally gave up on finding a good music script that did what I wanted. After hours of doing intense JavaScripting myself, the MIDI Music Player now works. Yay! There are new additions to the King's Quest 4-8, Laura Bow 1-2, and Phantasmagoria Game Curiosities. The Fan Gallery received some new fan artwork. King's Quest 1 has a new easter egg as well as some of the death list messages. Petter made a forum announcement that today is Roberta Williams' 50th birthday. Happy Birthday, Roberta! We love you!

NEWS AND UPDATES AS OF 03 OCTOBER 2002

A ton of catalogs covers and one new book, the Phantasmagoria 2 Strategy Guide, have been added to Ali's Bookstore today. I'm still trying to secure a copy of the second edition of the Official Book of Leisure Suit Larry. Three attempts have failed so far. Argh! I also added four new easter egg hunt screenshots. It seems that both Larry Laffer and Freddy Pharkas have a thing for Roberta Williams games. Hehe! Finally, Templeton found some interesting things to do in King's Quest 4.

NEWS AND UPDATES AS OF 26 SEPTEMBER 2002

Finally an update! Sierra's official website has changed a lot in the past few months, and therefore, many of the links from this site to Sierra's site have finally been updated as well as links to the Sierra Planet forums. Not all yet but getting there. Funny how things go. The day after I decide to finally fix all those links, sierraplanet.com/boards works again. Go figure. Since Sierra has so "graciously" removed all their technical documents, I've finally uploaded all the documents I saved years ago. I didn't even realize Sierra had documents for the Mixed-Up Mother Goose until I found them on my backup disks! The documents may be obsolete by Sierra's standards, but they still are very informative. Speaking of Mother Goose, I've uploaded some screenshots of the 1995 deluxe version to the game goodies page.

Sierra Planet has changed servers! Yay! However, there are still some tweaks that need fixed, such as subdomain redirections. Until I get that fixed, click on the text link to go to the Sierra Planet Forums. All downloads are not working right now because the password is screwed up. Ayay! The downloads should be back online within a few days.

NEWS AND UPDATES AS OF 13 MARCH 2002

I have added some new entries to the Teddy Bear Curiosities page and the Phantasmagoria section sometime between the last update news and now. I have been super busy, as usual, so I have not had time to do more updates. I just thought a news entry was needed since I haven't done one recently. Some interesting news has been circulating over at the official Sierra boards concerning the possibility of new adventure games. Yay! Although, don't get your hopes up too high. Anything can happen since it is all so tentative at this point. After getting permission from Sierra/Vivendi Universal, I have been working on a behind-the-scenes manual project along with other moderators for Sierra Planet. I will post more news what this is later in the upcoming weeks. I will warn everyone now http://www.sierraplanet.com. Sierra Planet is scheduled to be moved to a new server soon. When? I dunno. However, all the content will disappear, and I will have to re-upload everything. So, if you load Sierra Planet one day and find nothing, don't panic! *grin* This website will pop up again within a week or so!

NEWS AND UPDATES AS OF 8 JANUARY 2002

The new year is now upon us! Yay! The curiosities section has expanded with the Easter Egg Hunt, King's Quest Curiosities, and Laura Bow Curiosities sections. Two new Sierra Teddies were added as well. The Mixed-Up Mother Goose and Mystery House game sections are also up. In other news, it seems that Valanice recently overtook Connor in the character popularity poll! Woah! But who will hit 100 votes first? Only time will tellhttp://www.sierraplanet.com.

NEWS AND UPDATES AS OF 25 DECEMBER 2001
|
|
I hope that everyone had a Merry Christmas or at least a happy holiday season this year! Too bad we had no snow here. Anyway, to celebrate today, Laura Bow decided to come. Yep! The Laura Bow 1 and Laura Bow 2 sections are finally up! Also, a book or two has been added to Ali's bookstore inventory, and a ton of avatars at the forums. It seems that the polls show Alexander in the lead as the most favorite King's Quest main character, and his poor mother Valanice is the least favorite. Aww!

NEWS AND UPDATES AS OF 20 OCTOBER 2001
|
|
Sierra Planet finally opens! Woohoo! As you may have noticed, the old Kimmie's Roberta Williams Anthology Homepage is now totally shut down by the wonderful people at NBCi. Not all the old RWA sections are transferred over yet, but they will be over the next few weeks. They're not lost, so don't worry! Right now, all the King's Quest game sections are up along with Phantasmagoria. The frontpage games menu is gone, so click on the Sierra Games button to get to the game sections. The only Game Curiosities section up right now is the Teddy Bear page. The Fan Gallery is now its own section, and Ali's Bookstore has undergone great expansion and rennovation.
